Karl Clauson, founder
Karl has been speaking publicly for over 30 years. His passion is that a spiritual revolution would happen inside the church that reaches the world. His love for the gospel and belief in God’s ability to change lives is grounded in truth and experience.
Karl was born in Alaska, and at the age 18 he completed the 1,100 mile Iditarod Sled Dog Race. Religious but not transformed, accomplished but unfulfilled, Karl was reborn out of brokenness in 1984. He received a B.S. in Biblical Studies degree from Multnomah University in 1989 where he was also touched by God and received a vision for ministry and a wife (Junanne) for life. Karl launched two college/career singles ministries that grew rapidly and thrived spiritually, spoke nationally at marriage conferences with FamilyLife for 11 years, and led a dynamic church that grew to be the largest in the state of Alaska. Karl is now the Morning Host at WMBI 90.1 FM, Chicago and the lead pastor of 180Chicago, a new church plant in the heart of the city.
The personal scoop on Karl is pretty simple. As he says, "I love my wife of 26 years, Junanne, and my son and daughter. I enjoy studying, traveling, hipper music than my age, good coffee and talking life-change.
